When a custom website is worth it
- Your website needs to win work. If customers compare you with competitors online, looking like a template costs you enquiries.
- Your time is worth more. Most owners spend far longer on a DIY site than they planned, and it rarely ends up finished.
- You want it to look like your brand, not like thousands of other sites using the same theme.
- You need it to work properly on phones, with clear buttons to call, book or enquire.
The hidden cost is your time
A builder's monthly plan looks cheap. But writing the pages, choosing photos, fixing layouts on mobile and setting up forms and search basics takes most people many evenings. Add up those hours at what your time is worth, and the gap between DIY and custom often shrinks a lot.
Who owns what
This is the part most people don't check. On most website builders, you can't take your design with you if you leave. You can usually export some content, but the site itself stays on their platform. With a custom site from us, the design, words, photos and domain are all yours, and you can move it anywhere.
The middle ground
You don't have to start from scratch. If you already have a Wix, Squarespace or WordPress site, we can often redesign it where it is, which costs less than a full rebuild. That's our Refresh package, $1,500 for up to 5 pages. If starting fresh would be cheaper in the long run, we'll tell you on the first call.
